Matcha Tiramisu Japanese Garden
What does one do when it is a snow day? We make matcha tiramisu and then Japanese gardens, of course!
The big rocks were chunks of nutty chocolate; the pebbles were crushed choco puffs. The moss is matcha and the pond? A blue sports drink made into jelly! The only non-food item is the stone lantern. That was 3D printed!
Underneath all that is the tiramisu, made from mascarpone cheese, cream, etc, and matcha instead of espresso coffee! They looked too good to eat…but eventually, we did!
My Ikebana: All That Alder
As the leaves drop from the alder branches, their lines become more prominent.
We take advantage of those beautiful lines in this arrangement.

My Ikebana: Delphinium And Cattail
In the summer, cattail leaves grow upright, straight and true. In the autumn, the leaves start to dry out and bend in different ways. The dry withering colours contrast well with the bright blue delphinium too!

My Ikebana: Changing Height
These two basket containers were used as a pair. At first, they were made to interact on the same level.
Making one of the baskets taller somehow changed the dynamic. Does it look better?

Just a simple arrangement to enjoy the changing colours of forsythia branches in the autumn.

My Ikebana: Green Apples And Dahlia

My Ikebana: Berry Beautiful
Seeing this beautiful berry branch, we just knew it had to be in an ikebana arrangement! We are very grateful to get these branches! Can’t find them in the flower shops in town.
